After you test on a national test date with extended time, if you want to re-register for a future test date and you wish to request the same accommodations for which you were approved for a previous test date, you may do one of the following:
- Re-register on the Web. First, create a free student Web account. If you were previously approved for Extended Time National Testing, you can re-register online if you want to retest with the same accommodations. There will be a check box you need to fill in to test again with the same accommodations. Payment must be made by credit card. You will receive immediate confirmation of your test center assignment.
- Re-register by Phone. Call 319/337-1851
(Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.5:00 p.m. central time).
- Inform the service representative that you want to re-register and test with extended time. (All fees for services by phone must be paid by credit card.)
- When you re-register by telephone, you will receive immediate confirmation of your test center assignment. There is an additional $12 fee for this expedited service.
- The basic fee for the ACT (No Writing) is $30.00; $44.50 for the ACT Plus Writing. If you call after the regular deadline but by the late deadline for the new test date, there is an additional late fee of $19.00.
- Requests made after the late registration deadline will not be processed.
- Re-register by Paper Folder. Complete a paper registration folder, include your fee payment, and address the 9 x 12 registration envelope to:

Iowa City, IA 52243-4068- Enclose an Application for ACT Extended Time National Testing with all of Side 1 completed. (The Application may be downloaded or copies are available through your school.) You must complete Section F to indicate the month and year of the test date for which you were previously approved.
- If you kept a photocopy of your admission ticket showing your prior approval for extended time testing, write "EXT TIME" across the photocopy and return it with your registration folder for the new test date.
