Changes to The ACT Electronic Student Record for 2011–2012

We are making updates to The ACT Electronic Student Record, effective with the 2011–2012 testing year.

For Colleges:

Beginning with AIRO reporting delivered after September 6, 2011, and CDs delivered after September 19, 2011, we will report the following updated or new information:

  • Position 85–86 – Country Code. Response values can be found on the Country Code List. Canadian records will be denoted by CA in the Country Code field (pos. 85–86). The two-character State Code field (pos. 144–145) will no longer denote Canada (formerly CN).

For High Schools:

Beginning with CDs delivered after October 1, 2011, we will report the following updated or new information:

  • Position 85–86 – Country Code. Response values can be found on the Country Code List. Canadian records will be denoted by CA in the Country Code field (pos. 85–86). The two-character State Code field (pos. 144–145) will no longer denote Canada (formerly CN).
  • Position 91–99 – Social Security Number, when provided, will report an 'X' in positions 91–95. Positions 96-99 will report last four digits of the SSN. ACT ID will continue to have a dash (–) in position 91.
  • Position 691–700 – State-Assigned Student ID Number. Reports student ID number if Test Location (pos. 249) =S and test date is March 2012 or later.

We are providing this information to you now so that you can make the appropriate modifications to your processes and systems in time for the September 2011 release of the new data.
