As a former academic affairs specialist at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and a high school teacher, Jon L. Erickson has worked closely preparing students to be ready to succeed in college.
And since 1984, ACT has benefited from Erickson's talent and expertise.
As president of the Education Division, Erickson manages and directs more than 427 staff members and oversees resources across the nation dedicated to developing and implementing ACT programs and services. In addition, he helps set the education direction for ACT and leads efforts in government and state agency relations, customer service, program implementation and training, business development, and product and contract management.
Erickson was born in Sparta, Wisconsin—the bicycling capital of America—and grew up in nearby La Crosse.
He received a BA in history and social studies from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. He also has an MA in educational psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.
Erickson and his wife, Tori, live in Iowa City.
