ACT Scholars Program at The University of Iowa

The ACT Scholars Program, co-directed by ACT and The University of Iowa (Iowa City, Iowa), provides a unique opportunity for qualified students to pursue graduate degrees at the University, while simultaneously obtaining valuable experience at ACT.

Students selected for the program will be assigned to a business unit at ACT and be full-time University of Iowa students during the 9-month academic year. Summer internship opportunities may also be available.
Scholars can be named in several fields at the University, including Education, Business, Human Resources, Information Technology, Mathematics, and Statistics. To the extent possible, assignments at ACT will be developed to match the capabilities and interests of each student and his or her program of study.
The ACT Scholars will, as a group, also have regular opportunities for shared learning experiences and social interactions with faculty, staff, and other students at the University and at ACT.

ACT Scholars will receive full tuition plus a stipend.
Students of racial/ethnic backgrounds that are currently underrepresented in The University of Iowa and Iowa City communities, including Blacks, Hispanics, and Native Americans, will be sought to become ACT Scholars.
Upon graduation, ACT Scholars will be encouraged to apply for positions at ACT. However, there is neither an obligation to work at ACT nor a guarantee of employment after graduation.

The program will provide participants with a unique opportunity to apply the knowledge gained in their degree programs to current "real world" education and workforce issues of the type that ACT is engaged in on a national and international level.
