ACT sponsors a Visiting Teachers Program for five weeks each summer to allow ACT staff and teachers to learn from one another. Now in its 13th year, the Visiting Teachers Program has provided 42 secondary school teachers from 25 states the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of ACTs work and to contribute to ACTs programs. ACT chose three teachers from 90 applicants for this past summers program. They were Sheryl Clayton (left), a mathematics teacher from Nashville, Tennessee; John Blase (standing), an English teacher from Mundelein, Illinois; and Ada Blair (right), an English teacher from Birmingham, Alabama. Blase and Clayton worked primarily with K12 staff on QualityCore tests and Blair worked with Classroom Connections staff on curriculum.
