Free Learning Events Provide Insights on College and Career Readiness
Free learning events from ACT can help secondary and postsecondary educators and administrators around the country improve students’ college and career readiness.
Webinars and workshops provide information and insights so education personnel can better understand and use the data available from ACT assessments to improve curriculum, advise students, and develop strategies to add rigor to classroom instruction.
The ACT learning events are specially designed for counselors, curriculum directors, district administrators, principals, postsecondary administrators, school board members, superintendents, and teachers. ACT education experts lead the sessions.
ACT College and Career Readiness Webinars
The webinars show participants how they can use ACT assessments and data to:
- Improve student performance
- Evaluate learning successes and needed improvements
- Improve curriculum and add rigor
- Advise students and support interventions
- Implement strategies and tactics to better prepare students for college and career
ACT offers the webinars on various topics throughout the school year. The one-hour programs are recorded and archived for later viewing on the ACT Learning Events website.
ACT College and Career Readiness Workshops
ACTs College and Career Readiness Workshop Series is offered in multiple live sessions throughout the academic year across the country.
Participants can learn how to:
- Use the data from students ACT High School Reports and their schools Profile Summary Report to plan interventions and readiness measures.
- Implement ACT assessments in their school or district; communicate with parents and students about the assessments; introduce the assessments, preparation methods, and reports to staff; and develop an action plan for using the data to meet specific objectives.
- Get the most from their ACT reporting package by bringing their reports to the workshop where ACT staff will review their data.
