Welcome to the New ACT
ACT is evolving. Millions of students, academic institutions, and organizations have relied on us for data and information to help them achieve education and workplace success That will never change.
Edward W Walters III, Vice President, ACT Marketing and Communications
So what is new? We’re building on our successes so we can help millions more people build on theirs. Essentially, we are improving ourselves so we can help students and adults improve their lives.
We’re responding to our country’s crisis in education and job skills training with a next generation assessment system called ACT Aspire that gets students on track and keeps them on track for success in college and careers.
Through ACT Aspire, students will know from an early age whether they are ready for the next stage of their education—and if they’re not, what they need to do to become better prepared. Our goal is deliver more than just data, more than just information. We will deliver insights that unlock potential.
We already have a continuum of tools such as the ACT® college entrance exam, ACT Compass®, and ACT Career Credentials powered by ACT WorkKeys®. ACT Aspire will enable ACT to fully integrate the product continuum that serves kindergarten through career.
This is all part of our new efforts under the concept of improve yourself. ACT will continue to help people improve upon their knowledge, skills, and behaviors so they can prove themselves to colleges and employers. Prove that they are ready for postsecondary courses or workplace training. Prove that they are ready for careers. Prove that they are ready for life.
This publication is evolving as well. We are excited to introduce a fresh, colorful, and contemporary magazine that reflects our new strategy.
We know that many of you prefer to receive a printed piece, and we are committed to continuing to deliver one to you. At the same time, we are expanding on activity’s website, where you will soon be able to find multimedia-rich content such as videos, additional photos, and more details from the articles. We will also incorporate social media to encourage an active discussion with you on education and workplace topics that drive everything we do together to accomplish the ACT mission.
We welcome your suggestions to help make activity even better as we go forward. Contact us at activity@act.org to share your story ideas, provide feedback on articles, or let us know what you think of our new magazine. We look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you for making ACT and activity part of your life.
