Xiang Wang Named Vice President, Computer-Based Testing

 Xiang “Bo” Wang has been appointed vice president, computer-based testing, effective December 17.

“At ACT, our mission is to help individuals achieve success, both in education and in the workforce,” said Richard L. Ferguson, ACT CEO and chairman of the board. “Bo has the experience to help ACT further its mission, promoting and coordinating the implementation of computer-based testing, with the hopes of reaching even more individuals. We’re very happy to have him as part of the CBT team.”

In his role, Wang will be leading a new corporate initiative to manage and enhance computer-based testing throughout ACT. He will be responsible for setting the direction for, promoting, and coordinating the implementation of computer-based testing technology systems in support of ACT’s mission.

Wang, who most recently was senior psychometrician at The College Board, previously held positions at ETS and the Law School Admission Council. He has a bachelor’s degree in English from Hunan University in Changsha, Hunan, People’s Republic of China, and a master’s degree in English as a Second Language and a PhD in educational psychology, both from the University of Hawaii.
