Students enrolled in Navitas Workforces programs can earn International Career Readiness Certificates.
A large international education organization has brought ACTs WorkKeys assessments and the International Career Readiness Certificate to Australia.
Navitas Workforce is establishing WorkKeys testing centers in the five large capital cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. The majority of Australians live in these metropolitan areas.
As a division of Navitas, Ltd., Navitas Workforce provides vocational, employment, and placement services to individuals and employers. Its recruitment, training, consulting, internship, and graduate employment services are available throughout Australia.
The International Career Readiness Certificate follows the same practices and principles as the National Career Readiness Certificate in the United States. Available in English and Spanish, it is a portable, evidence-based credential that measures essential workplace skills and is a reliable predictor of workplace success. Employers use the certificate to screen applicants, hire and promote employees, and target training and development programs.
Navitas Workforce is offering the three WorkKeys foundational assessments that are part of the International Career Readiness Certificate: Applied Mathematics, Locating Information, and Reading for Information. Those who earn qualifying scores can receive certificates at one of four levels: platinum, gold, silver, or bronze. The certificates are registered in ACTs database and can be verified on the ACT website.
Navitas also administers three additional WorkKeys foundational assessments: Applied Technology, Business Writing, and Workplace Observation, plus ACTs soft skills assessments: Performance, Talent, and Fit. The soft skills assessments predict workplace attitudes and behaviors.
The WorkKeys assessments and International Career Readiness Certificate are independent measures that provide objective information to students and employers regarding individuals readiness to work, said Catherine Chaffey, general manager, Navitas Workforce Solutions.
ACTs work with Navitas
represents a significant
expansion to an entirely
new continent for our
workforce solutions. We
are pleased to partner with
Navitas Workforce to offer
our proven, evidence-based
assessments to measure
skill levels and to provide
a credential that will
document those skills for
employers throughout
Australia.

She said Navitas is using WorkKeys and the International Career Readiness Certificate to enhance the quality of its education programs and to improve employment outcomes for the people it serves. Currently, students enrolled in Navitas programs can earn certificates. In the next few months, the organization will expand certificate availability to job seekers outside of Navitas programs to help them improve their employment outcomes and will also introduce the Certificate to local employers.
We believe the certificates will give our students an advantage as they seek employment, she said. Its our expectation that as we introduce these services to area employers across the large metropolitan areas in Australia, they will see the value in hiring these credentialed individuals.
