ACT has promoted a current staff member and continues to bring additional new senior leaders on board as the organizations strategic plan and future direction take shape.
Jon Erickson, who previously served as interim president, Education Division, has been named president of the division. He joined ACT in 1984 as a staff member at the Midwest Regional Office in Lincolnshire, Illinois, and has held a variety of positions, including senior vice president, vice president, assistant vice president and regional manager, director of elementary/secondary services, associate director of assessment services, and assistant director of career planning services.
Melissa Murer Corrigan has joined as vice president, workforce test development. In this role, she manages test development functions and oversees product development for ACT Workforce Development. She comes to ACT from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), where she served as executive director and chief executive officer. As a founding leader of PTCB, Murer Corrigan is considered a visionary within the pharmacy community. During her time as CEO, the organization certified more than 400,000 pharmacy technicians worldwide.
ACTs new vice president, marketing and communications, is Edward W Walters III. He supervises the corporate strategy and marketing team, and oversees the groups day-to-day operations. He previously served as strategy and research leader for ConocoPhillips communications and public affairs team. Walters is a military veteran and was a presidential appointee who worked for the US Department of Defense as chief marketing officer and principal deputy assistant secretary of the Army. His background also includes strategy consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton, brand manager for Kraft Foods, and intelligence officer for the Army.
In his role as vice president, project management, Bernard Dutchik manages and implements the processes, methods, tools, and skill development used in ACT projects. He also oversees a team of project managers. His background includes establishing and managing Project Management Offices at Bridgestone North America and Bandag Inc., in addition to experience with process and manufacturing engineering and quality and operations management at Rockwell Collins and White Westinghouse.
