A New Class of Preparation

Students at This Rural Minnesota High School Can Follow a Complete Path to Readiness, from Taking PreACT in 10th Grade to an ACT Prep Class in 11th Grade

Cedar Mountain Success Story

For three years, sophomores at Cedar Mountain High School in rural Minnesota have taken PreACT®, which predicts their future success on the ACT® test. The following year, these students have a unique opportunity—to enroll in a junior-level class fully dedicated to ACT preparation.

Michael Menth, a social studies teacher at Cedar Mountain High School, instructs the ACT Test Preparation class. Students enrolled in the course use ACT® Online Prep—an interactive test prep offering from the makers of the ACT—that offers a personalized learning path where students can choose from a variety of activities with comprehensive content review.

Lastly, Michael uses The Official ACT Prep Guide, which rounds out the preparation offering. “We’re trying to give them as many avenues as possible, and they’ll use them as they need,” Michael says.

“We’re trying to make this a whole approach where schools, students, and parents are all aligned to giving our students the best grades possible on their ACT.”
