In this program, you will learn, supervised by veterinarians, and zoological and other professionals, to provide patient management and care, and clinical assistance procedures, in the treatment and diagnosis of sick animals. You will study animal nursing care, health and nutrition, animal handling, clinical pathology, radiology, anesthesiology, dental prophylaxis, and surgical assisting. You will also learn about clinical laboratory procedures, office administration skills, and patient and owner management.
Degrees
- A certificate or associate degree prepares individuals for jobs in veterinarians' offices, laboratory environments, zoos, and other animal medical facilities.
