The Windows®version of DISCOVER® operates on stand-alone computers or on network servers. The Windows version is provided on CD-ROMs.

NOTE1: All software products require some virtual memory in order to run in a Microsoft Windows-based environment. Our testing of DISCOVER indicates that a minimum of 43MB of free hard disk space is needed by the system to use as virtual memory, but this may differ depending on your machine and the environment in which it runs. You will need to take this into consideration when installing and using the Windows version of DISCOVER.
NOTE2: At least one workstation must have a 4x CD-ROM drive in order to load the software on the server. See the Installation Options that follow to determine if a CD-ROM drive is needed for each DISCOVER workstation.
NOTE3:You may want to consider headphones for DISCOVER's audio component in settings where you wish to control the noise level.
NOTE4:Add additional hard disk space if you need to install DirectX (5MB) and/or Active Movie (4MB) for each workstation configuration.

ADDITIONAL NOTE—Internet browser software, a modem, and an Internet service provider will be needed at your site in order to utilize DISCOVER's hyperlink connections.
ACT is committed to providing comprehensive technical support for its products.
DISCOVER is compatible with Novell NetWare, versions 3.1x and higher and Microsoft NT version 4.0 networks. DISCOVER also runs successfully on many other network configurations. However, ACT is not able to provide network configuration support for these platforms.
Unlimited product support for DISCOVER operation on the supported configurations is available for 90 days following the initial shipment of the discs to your site. After the initial 90-day period, technical support is provided through our optional Extended Support Agreement.
