Faces of ACT

- Behram
- Business Analyst
- Client Engagement/Information Technology
Hi, I'm Behram, a business analyst in the IT Client Engagement group. I have been employed at ACT since 2004.
I was born in Malawi, Africa, attended junior school in India, and then immigrated to England, where I completed my higher education. I have family scattered around the globe, and I have travelled for work and pleasure throughout Europe and the Middle East.
After graduating with an honors electrical and electronics degree, I worked in the Procurement Executive branch of the UK Department of Defense. A few weeks after the start of Operation Desert Storm, I was assigned to key initiatives and programs that contributed to the success of the allied victory. Following the completion of my MBA in Strategy, Innovation, Information and Technology in France, I joined Rockwell Collins UK as a program manager, and in 2001, I was invited to come and work at their headquarters in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Since joining ACT in 2004, I have been privileged to manage some high-profile programs, including RPS Web and QualityCore. I am currently conducting a gap-analysis on a critical Information Security program, with a view to introduce better processes, establish better audit capability, and gain efficiencies via standardization across all domains. I'd like to spend more time in other areas of ACT to comprehend how and why things are done the way they are and to help resolve difficulties through better technology or process management.
I enjoy the beautiful campus we have at ACT, and I also appreciate the work ethic of everyone rolling up their sleeves at crunch times, as well as the courtesy and respect that people have for each other as professionals.
My hobbies include reading, jogging, soccer, salsa, tango, travel, and flying. I am also active with the local Professional and Technical Diversity Network chapter. I am motivated to better understand other cultures (Zoroastrianism, an ancient Persian religion), and my goal is to set foot on every continent. That aligns closely with my carpe diem philosophy that while many people believe in life after death, I want to have a life before I die.
