National Office—The Lindquist Building

The Lindquist Building, which was completed in 1968, is named in honor of the late Dr. E. F. Lindquist, co-founder of ACT and widely acclaimed for his contributions to the field of educational measurement. The ACT tests (now part of the ACT Assessment Program) evolved from Dr. Lindquist's earlier work with skills assessment for younger students (Iowa Test of Basic Skills and Iowa Tests of Educational Development) and still reflect his measurement philosophy.
