There are five hospitals in the area, including University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinicsa comprehensive, tertiary medical center; Mercy Iowa City; the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Iowa City; Cedar Rapids Mercy Medical Center; and St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
