There are five hospitals in the area, including University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics—a comprehensive, tertiary medical center; Mercy Iowa City; the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Iowa City; Cedar Rapids Mercy Medical Center; and St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Many Options to Meet Spiritual Needs

Maharishi University and a national center for transcendental meditation are located in Fairfield, about 60 miles south of Iowa City.
