Hello, my name is Charles. I am the Director of Outreach Services in the Educational Services area. I have been with ACT since November 2004, and in my current role since 2008. Prior to becoming Director of Outreach Services, I was the ACT Midwest Region Director for Postsecondary Services, and before joining ACT, I served as the Assistant Director of Admission at Saint Louis University.
The focus of my current position is to work with state and national leaders in areas of enrollment management, advising, assessment, secondary administration and teaching, as well as national organizations representing all these groups. I also work to help these leaders understand the ties between effective P–16 state, regional, and national initiatives and ACT research, data, and solutions. I help both educators and employers understand the standards and benchmarks that are key for both college and workforce readiness.
The people at ACT are what make the organization. It is a pleasure coming to work every day and collaborating with a group of top-notch professionals interested in improving education and increasing student access to and success in postsecondary education. The fact that we are here to make a difference in society creates such a positive and committed atmosphere and attitude at ACT.
I learn a tremendous amount from my colleagues on a daily basis, and the collaborative working environment is unmatched. I hope to stay at ACT for many years to come and take advantage of greater responsibilities and challenges that come my way.
