ACT Institutional Data Questionnaire

The ACT Institutional Data Questionnaire (IDQ) is a free survey that gives higher education institutions the opportunity to share information with millions of prospective students, both domestic and international.

The ACT IDQ contains information for nearly 4,000 two-year and four-year colleges and universities, including data about:

  • Enrollment
  • Admissions
  • Costs
  • Financial aid
  • Student affairs
  • Academic programs

Be sure to complete the ACT Institutional Data Questionnaire each year to give students the most current information about your campus.

How Do Students Receive ACT IDQ Information?

You can get up-to-date information into students’ hands—at no cost to your institution—through ACT score reports, the ACT student website, and other ACT services.

  • The ACT Student Report contains college information from the IDQ survey to help students make informed decisions about their college options.
  • The ACT High School Report displays IDQ information to facilitate conversations between students and their high school counselors about their postsecondary plans.
  • Your official decision about requiring or recommending the ACT Writing Test is posted on the ACT student website.
