Application Instructions

Applications must be submitted online by 5:00 p.m., central time, July 2, 2009.

Nominations must be submitted online by 5:00 p.m., central time, July 6, 2009.

School certifications must be submitted online by 5:00 p.m., central time, July 6, 2009.

During the application period, program announcements related to the application and corresponding deadlines will be sent via email. Please add nant@act.org to your email program's safe list to be certain those messages get delivered.

Email notifications are sent to a school official who will certify your academic enrollment, as well as to your utility nominator. You should contact your school official and your utility nominator to ensure that they add nant@act.org to their email programs' safe lists. Use that conversation to confirm their email addresses. If you enter the email addresses incorrectly in the application, they will not receive the proper links necessary to complete the required materials.

In addition to completing the online application, you are also required to submit, by postal mail, all official transcripts pertaining to your undergraduate academic career. This includes your current transcript, current as of June 2009, as well as all transcripts received from prior institutions. Official transcripts must be mailed to arrive in our office by July 2, 2009. Our mailing address is:

How to Apply

Step 1	Register Online Please enter your information accurately and completely. Be sure to use the correct combination of upper-case and lower-case letters. If you need assistance creating an account, please contact us online. Retain your User ID and password, once created.
Step 2	Take the Eligibility Quiz After you register, you'll be directed to the eligibility quiz. If you pass the eligibility quiz, the remainder of the application will launch automatically. If you do NOT pass the eligibility quiz, you will receive a notification, and the application will not be available to you.
Step 3	Complete the Application You will be able to return to the application to update and edit as frequently as desired until you submit your application or the application deadline has passed.
Step 4	What Is the Status of My Application? If you have started or completed your application and want to check the status, please click the Review My Status button below.
