ACT Announces Changes to ACT Test Schedule for International Students
IOWA CITY, Iowa—ACT announced two improvements to its testing schedule for the ACT Test, beginning with the 2013–2014 academic year, for students outside the United States and Canada:
- A September test date has been added—replacing the February date in past years—allowing an additional fall test date to meet Early Decision deadlines for college acceptance.
- The optional Writing Test will now be available on all five of the test dates.
The test dates and registration dates for students located outside the United States and Canada for the 2013–2014 school year are:
| Test Date | Registration Deadline | ||||
| September 21, 2013 | August 23, 2013 | ||||
| October 26, 2013 | September 27, 2013 | ||||
| December 14, 2013 | November 8, 2013 | ||||
| April 12, 2014 | March 7, 2014 | ||||
| June 14, 2014 | May 9, 2014 |
“We are pleased to expand the fall testing dates and offer an additional opportunity for the optional Writing Test,” said LaMar Bunts, ACT vice president of international programs. “Requests for both improvements have increased, both from high schools outside the United States and from universities in the U.S. wishing to recruit international students. We are pleased to be able to respond in this way.”
Registration information and testing locations may be viewed at actstudent.org/regist/outside. Note that not all test centers administer tests on all five of the dates listed above.
