- Help your teen identify and strengthen academic areas that need improvement
- Find out the dates & locations of college fairs or parents nights in your area; mark your calendar with events that interest you or your teen
- Visit college campuses with your teen
- Make sure your teen registers to take the ACT. (Most students first take the ACT during their junior year.)
- Continue/start saving for college
- Complete ACT's Financial Aid Need Estimator for an idea about how much aid your family will qualify for
- Let your teen know how much you can afford to contribute toward his or her schooling
- Learn about different types of financial aid
