ACT and the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) are working together to support the work of school counselors.
- ASCA has developed the National Standards for School Counseling Programs, which create a comprehensive set of behavioral indicators for students to achieve as they participate in school counseling programs.
- ACT develops products to support student development toward a variety of academic and career planning standards and expectations.

The booklet's six-page matrix with selected introductory pages is also available (9 non-consecutive pages, 88KB). The matrix identifies ACT programs that can provide evidence of accomplishing each of the selected indicators of student competence.
