Follow Your Dreams

Hello my dearest readers!

This is where our journey comes to a close. As you read this, know that this is my final writing for the ACT Student Blog. I have traveled a long way with all of my lovely and intelligent readers and had such an unforgettable experience writing for ACT. I have gained so much knowledge from this experience. I learned in depth so much more about the high school to college transition through this writing experience so I could pass on the information to you. While finding out more information to help my loyal readers, I found information that helped me too: the importance of preparing for finals, how to apply to colleges, and how to pick out your high school classes wisely. End of the Year Grades

Welcome back readers! It seems as though winter arrived sooner than we thought! And with winter, comes sickness going around at school. This is irrelevant to my blog, but I am just warning you to make sure you stay healthy and keep your immune system up! I recently got sick and it is stressful having to make up work for school. Rigorous Scheduling

Happy November, my lovely readers! I am going to discuss something that stands out to colleges and universities: a rigorous schedule. Not to mention that challenging yourself in high school helps you in the long run because you gain study skills and time management skills. Continue reading

Whether you are applying by the regular deadline or you are applying early action, getting started early is beneficial for you. Continue reading

Testing as a Junior

Happy October, readers! I would like to remind all of you students the importance of taking your standardized tests as soon as you can once you are a Junior. Trust me; it will be a lot less stressful if you take the ACT during your Junior year. Why is this? Simply because if you choose to retake the test to achieve a higher score, you will have enough time before you apply to colleges. I encourage taking the test more than once, just so you can try to exceed your previous score. Continue reading

Universities and colleges search for students who excel among their peers and who are active in their school and community. Being an outstanding individual is what sets you apart from the other students. You need to demonstrate that you went the extra mile to get involved in your school. Continue reading
