Ordering and Scoring Paper-and-Pencil Tests
When ordering materials, you should keep the following in mind:
- Deadlines
ACT must receive WorkKeys orders at least three weeks before they’re needed. Your materials should then arrive at your testing center about one week before you test. - Answer documents
You must determine the appropriate number and type of answer documents for your assessments or assessment packages. - Assessment booklets
Order assessment booklets for the total number of examinees you expect to test.
You can obtain score reports from paper-and-pencil tests through one of two general methods:
- by returning assessment materials to ACT for scoring, or
- by using Express Score® software and scanning hardware.
Shipping Assessment Materials to ACT for Scoring
There are three scoring options available if you ship assessment materials to ACT for scoring:
- Batch scoring is the standard scoring process. Score reports are shipped to you within 10 working days of the assessment materials arriving at ACT.
- Next business day scoring is offered for rush orders. A Roster report is faxed to your center within 24 hours of ACT’s receipt of answer documents. Standard printed reports are shipped the following business day.
- Electronic score reporting is offered in PDF format. (Advance signup and setup required.) ACT will email your site when electronic score reports are available from the secure WorkKeys website. They are available for 10 days from that date.
In all cases, you must return assessment materials to ACT within 48 hours after testing. Call 800/WORKKEY (967-5539) or contact us to order.
