The Reading for InformationExtended test measures the skills people apply when they read and use text in order to do a job. These texts include memos, letters, directions, signs, notices, bulletins, policies, and regulations. Reading for Information materials do not include information that is presented graphically, such as in charts, forms, or blueprints.
The new WorkKeys tests, Reading for InformationExtended and Applied MathematicsExtended, measure a broader range of skills and enhance the role of WorkKeys for programs using the National Reporting System for Adult Education (NRS) (opens new window). The original WorkKeys assessments for reading and mathematics produce scores ranging from Level 3 to Level 7. Extended assessments report scores in the same range and also produce Level 1 and Level 2 scores.
