What the Performance Assessment Measures

The WorkKeys Performance Assessment is an integrity test that measures:

  1. General Work Attitudes: This scale contains a mixture of "overt" and "covert" content that has been shown to predict counterproductive work behaviors, task and job performance, and organizational citizenship behaviors.

Scores can be related to the following:
    • Prevalence of theft
    • Productivity
    • Supervisor ratings
    • Absenteeism
    • Resilience to work-related stress
    • Team orientation
    • Employee work satisfaction
  2. Risk Reduction: This scale contains items that focus on avoidance of work-related accidents and unnecessary risk taking in a work environment, as well as organizational conduct that may impact the individual or others. This measure also contains a mixture of "overt" and "covert" content-related items.

Scores can be related to the following:
    • Work-related accidents
    • Working under the influence of alcohol or drugs
    • Outbursts of physical or verbal aggression
    • Coworker complaints about conduct or harassment
The test provides a Performance Index based on a weighted composite of the General Work Attitudes and Risk Reduction scales.
