What is TesTrac?

TesTrac is a test delivery service.

Are there any special computer settings I need to worry about?

Pop-up blockers must be turned off. The first page of the test gives you directions to be sure they are off.

What should an examinee do if he or she cannot see all the graphics for a question?

You will need to scroll to see the entire graphic for some items. Like the reading selections, graphics may be repeated for a second question.

Ordering

How will we be charged for tests?

This test is paid for by vouchers that are purchased in lots of 250. Each voucher has a number that is "used" when entered just before launching the test.

How do I order the Readiness Indicator?

Test delivery

Is Readiness delivered the same way as other WorkKeys assessments?

Yes. Proctors must be present during testing and must follow the same procedures they use when administering the standard WorkKeys tests.

Is the Readiness Indicator timed?

The Readiness Indicator is not timed. However, most people will likely be able to complete the test in 30 minutes or less.

Can I give the proctor login information to the examinees so they can complete the registrations?

No. Proctor login is confidential and must be entered by the proctor.

What happens if the examinee doesn't agree with the "Examinee Agreement" statement?

They are not allowed to go forward and take the test.

What happens if the test is interrupted by a power failure or some other glitch?

The examinee may log in again and the test will now be listed in the "In-progress exams and assessments". The proctor must release the test by entering the Test Center, Proctor number, and Proctor password. The examinee can then click on the link to restart the test where it stopped. You have up to 48 hours to release the test and restart.

What does an examinee do after all the questions have been answered?

Examinees have the option to review any item by clicking on the item number on the review page. When satisfied with the answers, click on the "Finished reviewing, present score" box to see results.

If examinees exit the test, can they go back and change an answer?

Once you have exited the test, it is not possible to go back to the test.

Does this system allow for batch loading?

No, not at this time.

Where are the questions and answer choices?

This system puts the question before the reading selection or graphic(s), with the multiple-choice answer choices below the reading selection or graphic(s).

Does every question have to be answered?

Yes, the system will not move on to the next item unless you choose an answer. However, you may mark your answer for review later. Also, there are not points taken off for wrong answers, so you should pick the one you think is best.

Some of the reading selections seem identical; is that the case?

Yes, some reading selections have more than one item. The selection is repeated with each question. Some selections require scrolling.

Results

How long does it take to get results?

The Readiness Indicator results are available immediately after the examinee is finished.

How do I deliver the score report to examinees?

Examinees can print their own reports upon completion of testing.

What do the results look like?

What does the Readiness Indicator measure?

The Readiness Indicator measures whether an examinee will achieve at least a Level 3 on the operational WorkKeys Reading for Information, Applied Mathematics, and Locating Information assessments, or if he or she likely needs further training before taking the full-length standard WorkKeys assessments. An examinee may have done better in one or more areas than in others. The Objective Level Analysis tells the examinee which areas he or she is ready to test and/or in which areas may need additional training. Ignore the note on the bottom of the page; the Readiness Indicator does not provide raw scores or percentages.

What if the examinee scores low and is not ready to move on to the WorkKeys assessments?

This is an indication that the examinee needs to obtain some intervention before taking the full-length standard WorkKeys tests.

Can I print another score report for the examinee?

Yes. Follow directions in the User's Guide to access additional reports and other information at the WorkKeys Readiness Indicator administrator website.
