How the WorkKeys Readiness Indicator Works
The WorkKeys Readiness Indicator is administered in a proctored environment. A sample methodology for using the instrument and the results includes:
Step 1—Individuals visit a workforce office and ask to take WorkKeys assessments.
Step 2—Administrators determine the benefits of estimating skill levels, log in to the interface, and launch the instrument.
Step 3—Individuals who demonstrate adequate preparation enter the assessment process. Those who need additional training are enrolled in the curriculum.
Step 4—After successfully completing a curriculum, individuals repeat Step 2.
The system is designed to accommodate high user volume. It requires minimal Internet bandwidth and workstation specifications. The Readiness Indicator is available to credentialing programs that issue the National Career Readiness Certificate and other programs based on the WorkKeys system.
