ACT's National Workforce Development Conference – formerly the WorkKeys National Conference – will be held in the historic city of Philadelphia, April 27th to April 30th, 2010, at the Sheraton City Center Hotel.
For 12 years ACT has brought together educators, employers, economic developers and state officials for the WorkKeys® National Conference. Year after year this conference has been a success due to the passion attendees bring for improving the workforce. The goal of the annual conference is to continue to assemble these dedicated players together to learn, discuss and share best practices and ideas for improving the workforce.
This year the name of the conference has appropriately been renamed Workforce 2010: ACT's National Workforce Development Conference. The new name brings attention to a holistic approach: the goal is Upskilling America through the use of national work readiness systems that include elements like WorkKeys, Certificates and credentialing systems.
The focus of the conference includes Certificate programs and the use of the WorkKeys system for development and selection. The conference will place emphasis on ideas that change and advance the American workforce—to help strengthen businesses and improve the economy.
