Webcast Training

Before you start using WorkKeys Internet Version we strongly encourage you to view the webcast training. By clicking on the link above, you will be directed to the Centra website. Centra is the tool used to create the webcast. You should choose the Playback option. After the recording starts, you can access a drop-down list for Index Points. Each section has an Index Point and allows you to select a certain topic or view the entire webcast.

This manual contains instructions for receiving, handling, administering, and returning the WorkKeys assessment materials.

WorkKeys Internet Version User's Guide

This manual provides you with information to ensure that WorkKeys Internet Version testing is conducted according to ACT standards, policies, and procedures.

Report of Accommodated WorkKeys Assessments

For each accommodated assessment, the test administrator should complete and submit one of these reports with the examinee's answer document. Both the examinee and the test administrator should sign to indicate that (1) the examinee has the specified disability, (2) the accommodation specified has been provided.

WorkKeys Testing Irregularity Report

The following form should be used to record any test administration irregularity that may affect user scores or the interpretation of the WorkKeys results, or that result in voiding one or more assessments.

Account Management Quick Start Guide

Account Management is used to reset a disabled account, lock an account, and send a new password to an examinee. The term "account" refers to a person's access to WorkKeys Internet Version.

Associate User

This Quick Start Guide outlines how to associate (or add) a user from another site.

Barcode Management

Barcode Management (or the Barcode Manager Role) allows you to connect paper/pencil BATCH scored assessment results with the WorkKeys Internet Version (Validus) Reporting Portal. Batch refers to a group of answer documents sent to ACT for scoring.

Batch Load Quick Start Guide

The Batch Load feature allows a site administrator to create a 'batch' of registrations. If you have records in a spreadsheet you can copy and paste that information into an Excel Header File that you download from Validus.

Export Examinee Quick Start Guide

Administrators may wish to export examinee data to an external program. The Export Examinees feature will export data from the entire list of individuals registered in a realm who have been assigned the role of “Examinee.”

Group Authorization Quick Start Guide

It is possible to authorize an entire group of examinees to take the same test. A group can be authorized up to 30 minutes before they launch the test.

Group Management Quick Start Guide

Group Management is used to create groups to "Group Authorize" examinees. This feature allows site administrators to add examinees to a group either at registration or later.

Group Registration Quick Start Guide

Typically an examinee User ID and Password is created then tests and financial profiles are added one examinee at a time. However, it is also possible to register a group for tests and set the financial profiles for each test once for the entire group.

Launching an Interrupted Test
If a test has been interrupted due to a power outage, etc., a Site Administrator or Proctor can reauthorize the same test and the examinee can launch the test again within one hour of the interruption.

Profile Management can be used as a template for setting up and registering examinees for tests (e.g., registering an examinee for multiple tests with a single click).

Setting Extended Time

This Quick Start Guide outlines how to set extended time for a registration. Extended time is used to help meet an accommodation need. For more information about accommodations see the WorkKeys Test Coordinator Manual.

Setting the Financial Profiles for Self Registration

Financial profiles management is used to assign the appropriate price for the assessment you wish to launch when the examinee has self registered.

Reports Portal Quick Start Guides

Data Export Quick Start Guide

The WorkKeys Internet Version Data Export Report exports data from the Validus system into an Excel file format. A site administrator may use this report to reconcile invoices. It provides all of the information about the examinee including demographic information, date tested, test title and score received. The Data Export Report does not include User IDs and passwords.

Group vs. Profile Report Quick Start Guide

The Group vs. Profile Report displays the scores that a group of examinees achieved compared to a score that is required for a job. Reports are available in the Reports Portal 24 hours after testing takes place. An Administrator must have the Portal Manager role to use the Reports Portal feature.

Individual Report Quick Start Guide

The Individual Score Report provides information to the examinee about their score and what it means to be at that skill level. Reports are available in the Reports Portal 24 hours after testing takes place. An Administrator must have the Portal Manager role to use the Reports Portal feature.

Individual Score vs. Profile Report Quick Start Guide

The Individual Score vs. Profile Report is used to show a comparison of a required skill level with the skill level the examinee achieved. For example, a company may want this report if they are hiring for a job that has been job profiled and they know the level required for a specific skill area. This report will print with the skill level required and the skill level of the applicant.

Individuals Ready to Test Quick Start Guide

This report provides a list all examinees registered for tests who haven't taken a test yet. Reports are available in the Reports Portal 24 hours after testing takes place. An Administrator must have the Portal Manager role to use the Reports Portal feature.

Performance, Talent, Fit Quick Start Guide

Roster Report Quick Start Guide

The Roster Report is a list of examinees, the tests they took and the scores they received. It is requested by the date range you choose.
