FARM/HOME MANAGEMENT ADVISORS instruct and assist individuals and families engaged in agriculture, agricultural-related processes, or home economics activities. Farm/home management advisors help farmers with farm problems. They advise on crop rotation, production, and livestock. They demonstrate procedures and apply research findings to solve problems. Farm/home management advisors instruct and train in product development, sales, and the use of machinery and equipment.

Entry Requirements

A bachelor's degree in agriculture, home economics, sociology, or a related field from an accredited college is the minimum education requirement to become a FARM/HOME MANAGEMENT ADVISOR. A master's or a Ph.D. degree in a specialized field is preferred and necessary for advancement. No special licensing or certification is required for farm/home management advisors.
