• Act out parts in TV, radio, films, and on stage
• Read scripts and remember lines
• Put on stage makeup and clothes
• Practice their part at rehearsals
• Work in theaters, studios, and on stages, etc.
• Work with costumes, makeup, music, props, lights and cameras

Education/Training

• Minimum for Entry: Acting experience and talent
• Employers Prefer: A 4-year degree in drama
• Skills/Courses: College courses include radio and television broadcasting, communications, film, theater, drama, and dramatic literature. Singing and dancing training may also be helpful.
• Certification/Licensing: Union membership may be required for some jobs.
