Work Tasks
- Run the equipment used to record, edit, and broadcast TV and radio programs
- Give directions to other workers using hand signals or headsets
- Set up, test, and run equipment at outside events
- Work indoors in control rooms with the electronic equipment used to broadcast shows
- Work with microphones, video tape recorders, editing systems, sound effects, TV cameras, computers, and other broadcasting equipment

Education/Training
- Minimum for Entry: Training in broadcast technology

- Certification/Licensing: Certification is available.
