Work Tasks
- Take care of children when parents cannot be with them
- Make sure kids are safe and that they follow basic rules
- Wake kids up, dress and feed them, give them baths, read to them, and teach them basic skills
- Wash children's clothes, clean their rooms, and talk to the parents about how the children are doing
- Work in their own home or in those of others, sometimes living with the family
- Work with children, books, toys, games, crayons, paints, foods, drinks, diapers, etc.

Education/Training
- Minimum for Entry: A high school diploma, on-the-job training, and the ability to get along with the person they will care for
