Work Tasks
- Make sure food and drink machines work correctly
- Test coin change machines to make sure they work
- Fix broken machines, and clean, oil, and adjust parts
- Work indoors in repairs shops or where machines are located (in games arcades, for example)
- Work for vending, soft drink, and games companies, or own their own business
- Use various types of machines, pipe cutters, soldering irons, hand tools, grinding wheels, power tools, and testing equipment

Education/Training
- Minimum for Entry: On-the-job training
- Employers Prefer: A high school diploma and training in electronics
- Skills/Courses: Courses in electricity, electronics, refrigeration, and machine repair
- Certification/Licensing: May need to be bonded. Certification is available.
