- Design book jackets, posters, compact disc covers, logos for companies, pamphlets, and many other print materials
- Use computers to make designs
- May design Internet Web pages
- Print the final designs for customers

Education/Training
- Minimum for Entry: A 4-year degree in graphic design, art, fine art, illustration or a related field
- Skills/Courses: College courses include computer design and visual communication. Students learn how to assemble their own portfolio, a collection of computer-generated or printed samples of the artist's best work.
