- Talk with managers about computer programs and equipment to use for the job
- Plan the computer system using math models and samples

Education/Training

- Skills/Courses: Experience as a programmer is usually required, plus technical knowledge, communication, and other interpersonal skills.
- Certification/Licensing: Certification is available.
