Work Tasks
- Use principles of science, engineering, and math to solve electrical problems
- Make and fix electrical and electronic systems like radar, sonar, TVs, VCRs, CD players, direction-finding equipment, and computers
- Test, adjust, and fix equipment
- Help engineers and scientists research and make new products
- Work indoors in labs, offices, electronics shops or plants for electrical manufacturers, service industries, or for the government
- Use testing equipment, models, diagrams, blueprints, and plans; and screwdrivers, wrenches, soldering irons, and other tools
