Work Tasks

Install and fix elevators, escalators, and other similar equipment
Put in electrical wires and controls at each floor and at the main control panel
Put together elevator cars, elevator doors, and door frames
Test and maintain equipment to keep it working well
Work indoors for elevator manufacturers, elevator repair contractors, the government, and businesses that do elevator repair
Use blueprints, hand and power tools, testing equipment, elevator frames and cars, electrical wires and controls, computer controls, and scaffolding
