Work Tasks
- Draw clothing and accessory (belts, scarves, gloves, etc.) designs for the fashion industry
- Make clothing ads and paint or draw pictures for newspapers, magazines, TV, brochures, and catalogs
- Sketch fashions from mannequins, live models, and photographs
- Try to show clothes in a way that will make people want to buy them
- Work in art studios or their homes for advertisers, commercial art firms, publishers, manufacturers, department stores, and specialty clothing shops
- Use drawing boards, art paper, pencils, pens, photographs, models, mannequins, clothing samples, and computers
