Work Tasks
- Make and test laser devices
- Look at blueprints, layouts, and sketches, and talk to engineers to find out how to put parts together
- Test the laser and report results to engineers
- Repair broken laser equipment
- Work in research labs and assembly areas for the military and companies that make lasers and precision instruments
- Work with laser devices and their parts, leak detectors, safety equipment, precision electronic and optical instruments, test data, and reports
