Work Tasks

• Make sure that clubs and resorts run smoothly and make money
• Keep things clean and in order, and hire employees
• Plan activities for guests and handle advertising
• Order supplies for the club or resort
• Work for hotels, motels, night clubs, fish-and-game clubs, golf and ski resorts, beach resorts, etc.
• Work with staff schedules, work records, financial statements, purchase orders, supplies, and equipment used at the club

• $59,000 average per year ($28.25 per hour)

Education/Training

• Minimum for Entry: A 4-year degree
• Employers Prefer: A 4-year degree or higher in hospitality management
• Skills/Courses: College courses include lodging administration, accounting, economics, marketing, housekeeping, food service management, catering, maintenance, computerized reservation systems, and business management.
