Work Tasks
- Keep library items in order and easy for people to find
- Give people library cards and check out books
- Collect books, check them for damages, and collect overdue fines
- Answer phones, help people with questions, and help people with vision problems to find materials made for them
- Work for the government or for public, school, law, medical, or special interest libraries
- Work with books, newspapers, reference books, computers, catalogs, records, files, audiovisual and microfiche equipment, and material to mend books

Education/Training
- Minimum for Entry: A high school diploma
