Work Tasks
- Maintain machines in factories and fix problems before machines break down
- Use computers to test machines; take machines apart and replace worn parts
- Tests machines after they are fixed to make sure they are okay
- Keep records of machine maintenance
- Work for manufacturers, the government, public utilities, mining companies, and other places that use industrial machinery
- Work with industrial machinery and parts, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, hand tools, hoists, blueprints, engineering specifications, and safety gear
