Work Tasks
- Put mail in order and walk or drive to deliver it to mailboxes
- Collect money for postage-due, money-orders, and C.O.D. (cash on delivery) fees
- Ask people to sign for registered, certified, and insured mail
- May sell stamps and money orders and take packages to mail
- Work outside and inside in the post office for the United States Postal Service
- Work with letters, parcels, packages, mail bags, push carts, mail trucks and cars, money, signed receipts, change-of-address cards, and other forms

Education/Training
- Minimum for Entry: A high school diploma, 18 years of age or older, a resident of the US, able to speak English, a driver's license, a good driving record, and must pass tests
- Skills/Courses: On-the-job training includes safety and defensive driving, machine operation, and processing procedures.
