Work Tasks
- Install and fix machines and heavy equipment used in industry
- Move new equipment into position and make a base for it if needed
- Take apart old machines, move them, fix broken parts, and keep them running
- Read blueprints and work with different kinds of building materials
- Work indoors for construction firms, machining wholesalers, and producers of motor vehicles, motor parts, steel, metal, paper, and chemicals
- Work with machines, machine parts, pulleys, cables, cranes, hydraulic lift trucks, dollies, rollers, hand trucks, lasers, ultrasonic measuring tools, squares, micrometers, calipers, plumb bobs, welding machines, soldering guns, blueprints, drawings, written instructions, and hand and power tools
