- Write fiction or nonfiction for radio and TV shows
- Get information from research, interviews, and their own experience
- Write a plot outline, then write a script
- Meet with producers and directors and make changes if needed
- Work for radio/TV production companies or for themselves
- Work with computers, CDs, teletype equipment, typewriters, news items, program schedules, and radio/TV performers
