Work Tasks

• Fix home electronics products
• Test circuits and read plans to find problems
• Fix or replace parts which are not working
• Work in stores, service centers, customers' homes
• May be self-employed or work for a repair shop
• Work with voltmeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, frequency counters, hand tools, replacement parts, radios and TVs, video and audio equipment, stereo components, home computers, security systems, and other electronic equipment
