- Prepare students for vocational/technical jobs
- Teach computer applications, communications technology, construction, manufacturing, and transportation
- Show students how to use tools and technology
- Teach problem-solving skills
- Work in classrooms and labs for public and private schools, colleges, universities, and adult education programs
- Work with lab tools, power equipment, materials needed for student projects, computers, student grades and records, books, audiovisual equipment, and other teaching aides
