Work Tasks

• Sell tickets for planes, buses, ships, and trains, and places of interest and entertainment
• Assign seats and check baggage, check passports
• Answer customer questions, give directions
• Help customers plan routes and figure ticket costs
• Work for the airlines, hotels, railroads, bus lines, and movie theaters, parks, and museums
• Work with schedules, rate books, baggage, tickets, passports, visas, maps, forms, computers, and telephones

Education/Training

• Minimum for Entry: A high school diploma and on-the-job training
